What is Mock Trial?
It is what it sounds like as it is two teams acting out a civil or criminal trial and arguing either the prosecution or the defense side of a case.

Middle School Awards
Fall 2019: Team Hamilton placed 1st and Team Burr placed 3rd, sending both teams on to State. At State, Team Hamilton trophied with 11th place. 8th grader Maddison Lambert was named one of 12 Outstanding Witnesses in the State. Another 12 students from the two teams were named Honorable Mention Lawyers and Witnesses.
High School Awards
Spring 2019: The team took first place at Regionals and advanced to State. At State, the team did not place in top 12, but was awarded the Judge Anthony Critelli Award for Sportsmanship, Civility and Courtroom Decorum. Other schools vote to award this honor. Several students were named Honorable Mention Lawyers and Witnesses.
Spring 2020: At Regionals, Team Bob Ross finished in 3rd overall and advanced to state. State competition was later cancelled due to COVID-19 shutdown. Team TMNT finished in 8th out of 18 teams in the second largest Regional in the state! This is just the 2nd year OHS has had a mock trial team, and our 2nd year to go to State! 15 positions received awards.
