Okoboji offers outstanding music opportunities in all 3 buildings. While OMS and OHS have separate Instrumental Departments, OES combines vocal training with music theory and instruments.
OES Music
OES combines vocal and instrumental music. Students learn music theory, notes, harmony, and learn to play piano on keyboards, plus other instruments like boomwhackers, recorders, and many percussive instruments. Students perform in winter and spring concerts that often include speaking roles and mini musicals. For more information contact Mrs. Gehrke.

OHS offers Choir as a class credit. Boji Voices Jazz Choir is a half credit class, and Show Choir practices Tues. & Thurs. mornings to perform at Winter Pops Concert. Check out OHS Vocal Music on Facebook!

OMS offers Choir as a required class for 5th and 6th grade. It is an Exploratory Class for 7th and 8th grade. There is also 7/8 Select Choir whose members are chosen via audition. They rehearse Tues. & Thurs. mornings before school. For more information, contact Mr. Knudtson.
